Hello fellow Nashvillains!!

This community hasn't been used in a long time, I don't know if people even still have it on their friends pages or not, but I've been thinking that I would like to start this up again if there are any interested parties.

When we were meeting before, it involved giving constructive criticism of each other's work, mostly poems and short stories, via written comments on printed-out pages. We would mostly do this at Cafe Coco over coffee, fries, and/or beer. It seemed to work well. Then I started teaching in the ghetto and didn't have time for writing group anymore. :(

Now that I'm back at my boring state job, I have a lot more time on my hands and the itch to write has returned with full force.

I've got 55 pages of a novel called Them Indiana Boys that I'm proud of, but I know it needs help, love, and editing. If anyone wants to provide help, love, and editing of other people's work in exchange for help, love, and editing of their own work... then we should do this!!

So please respond if this sounds like fun.

I never got to get into the group the last time around because of scheduling snags, and I'd still absolutely love to offer help, editing, and literary affection. A bonus! I have just spent a number months as a writer's assistant, whoring myself out in same capacity, so now I'm bubbling over with this need to tear people's writing to shreds.

Okay, so it's been a while since you posted this comment... sorry I didn't get back to you at the time, I figured I'd wait and see if anyone else showed an interest, and when they didn't I got distracted. :) But it looks like someone else (comment below) would also like to try to reinstate a writing group, and my book project definitely needs some ripping apart. I also want to read other people's stuff to take my mind off my own! :)

Yay! Sure, I'm still interested.

Also, I just made the demented decision to sign up for NaNoWriMo, so...yeah, I'll definitely be needing some motivation and critique.

Mondays are especially good for me, if you'd like to start Nashvillains up again.

I AM INTERESTED AND I'M NOT INTERNET STALKING YOU I SWEAR! I JUST handmade a flyer that reads "interested in starting a writing group?" (in circus lettering which I made while slacking off at my job) but real live people who are already interested is preferable.

I haev a 9-5 also and could meet most times after that.

Haha, no offense taken! I'm always pleased when I meet new people interested in writing.

And I've totally done similar slacking things with office supplies on the job. I once made an elaborate chore list with funny fonts. :)

I'm 8:30-5 and also pretty flexible. What kind of writing are you working on? I've got this book project I've been slaving away at and am never quite satisfied with, ugh.
